Head coach Warren Craney, offensive co-ordinator Michael Faulds and defensive co-ordinator Harry Laflamme will lead the Lions against a Guelph squad that also has a new head coach in Stu Lang and is without last year’s starting quarterback (Justin Dunk, graduation) and kicker (Rob Maver, now playing with Calgary in the CFL).

The men’s soccer team enters the 2010 season at No. 10 in the first CIS national rankings of the year. Several places from last year’s team have graduated but the Lions will still field a strong line-up that features, among others, two-time reigning OUA most valuable player Francesco Bruno and five other all-stars. Their opponent in the season opener is the UOIT Ridgebacks, who officially begin play in the OUA for the first time this weekend.
