HOME GAMES
Men’s Hockey: York vs. Waterloo
Thursday, Nov. 10 @ 7pm
The men’s hockey team returns home to face the Waterloo Warriors still looking for its first victory on home ice. All three wins, as part of a 3-4-3 start to the year, have come on the road. Waterloo, meanwhile, has seen two of its five wins this year come on the road. As the Lions approach the mid-point of the season they currently hold down sixth place in the OUA West, while the Warriors are third with a 5-3-1 record.
Women’s Hockey: York vs. Ryerson
Friday, Nov. 11 @ 7pm
The women’s hockey team plays its first game at home in three weeks with a game against the Ryerson Rams. The contest is the second meeting of the season between the two teams; the Lions came away with a 6-3 victory in the season opener at Ryerson. Both teams will be fighting hard for a win: the Lions are in the midst of a four-game slide while the Rams, new to the OUA this season, have lost six in a row.
Men’s & Women’s Tennis: OUA Team
Championships
Friday, Nov. 11 – Sunday, Nov. 13
The team league championships take place this weekend at Rexall Centre with the Lions men’s and women’s tennis teams competing against seven other universities – McGill, McMaster, Montreal, Queen’s, Toronto, Waterloo and Western – in a regional tournament that will determine which two squads advance to the national team championships next summer at the Rogers Cup. Matches will take place throughout the weekend with the team champions being crowned on Sunday afternoon.
