Long-Term Effects of Concussion
The York LTEC (Long-Term Effects of Concussion) Study is a coordinated effort with York Lions Sport Medicine Team and the Cognitive-Motor Neuroscience Laboratory at York University to quantify the long-term effects of concussions on York's Athletes. This study is being conducted with approval from the York University Human Participants Review Committee, and holds no risk to subjects.
The study asks you to make simple point-to-point movements over a touch sensitive screen placed in various locations in front of you. Testing takes approximately 45 minutes. There should be no discomfort of fatigue associated with these procedures.
Subjects are asked to follow the link below to our scheduling site, where they can sign up for testing. Note: Sign up is for varsity athletes only.

Setup

The setup (shown above, right) uses two touch sensitive screens, placed in the vertical and horizontal positions, which subjects will make their
movements on. Movements consist of sliding a finger along the screen from a central target to one of four peripheral targets (shown above, left)
If you have any questions about the research in general or about your role in the study, please feel free to contact either of the researchers, Dr. Lauren E. Sergio (416-736-2100 x 33641, lsergio@yorku.ca) or Jeff Brown (416-736-2100 x 33405, jeffb5@yorku.ca).
