GORMAN/SHORE SPORT INJURY CLINIC
General Information
The Sport Injury Clinic is located in room 201 of the Tait McKenzie Centre. It is open during the academic year from the first day of classes in September to the last day of classes in December and then from the first day of classes in January until the last day of classes in April. The clinic is open from Monday to Friday from 11:30 am to 7:00 pm. It is only open to York University students with athletic injuries. There is no fee for this service. The satellite clinic in the stadium is used during the fall for the outdoor sports.
The Sport Injury Clinic is a teaching clinic. Students from the Athletic Therapy Certificate Program do their
clinical placement in the Tait Clinic. Patients are assessed and treated by the student therapists under the
direct supervision of the clinic manager and clinic supervisor, both of which are certified athletic therapists.
No other volunteers are taken in the clinic.
Athlete's Care is another sport injury clinic on campus, in the Toronto Track and Field Centre. They see the
outside community and York staff and faculty. They can be reached at 416-736-5991. They often take
volunteers interested in sport medicine.
