York Sport & Recreation is committed to creating a championship sport culture and enhancing the student-athlete experience. By adopting a York Lion you can be part of the mission by providing essential financial support for our 450 student-athletes so they can reach their potential and achieve their goals both on the field of play and in the classroom. Your gift will help off-set various costs and make the following possible:
- Increased opportunities for off-season training, exhibition and non-conference play, out-of-province road trips and off-season training camps,
- Top-quality facilities for training and individual skill development, such as the rental of additional ice time, indoor artificial turf fields, tennis courts, track and facilities, etc.,
- Enhanced coaching and recruiting resources,
- Specialized equipment,
- Individual athlete team apparel and uniforms.
In appreciation for your support, each contributor will receive:
- A personal thank-you from your adopted Lion,
- A season pass to your adopted athletes' team's regular season home games (playoffs and championship events are not included),
- Recognition at a special Adopt-a-Lion event,
- Name recognition on the York Lions website,
- A tax receipt for the full amount of your gift.
