York University Sport & Recreation welcomes you! It is our intention to provide the best possible gameday experience for our fans, student-athletes, visiting teams, parents, officials, alumni and staff.

Below is an informative guide to anyone attending a York Lions athletic event.

So come out, wear your red and white, and enjoy the game!

Alcohol
It is prohibited to bring alcohol into any of our games. Violators will be subject to ejection and applicable legal action.

ATMs
ATM machines are located just inside the main doors of the Tait McKenzie Building.

Bags and Bag Search
All persons and items brought into the stadium, main gym, and arena are subject to search.

Conduct
Guests are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times during a game. We encourage our guests to treat officials, visiting players, coaches, and families with courtesy. No foul, or abusive language will be tolerated. Intoxicated, unruly or disruptive fans are subject to ejection and possible legal action.

First Aid
In case of emergency, please contact an Event Staff member. Guests with pre-existing medical conditions or special needs are encouraged to check in with the events staff before being seated.

Doors
Doors are open one (1) hours prior to gametime, unless otherwise noted.

Photography
Hand-held still cameras are permitted for personal use. Cameras with telescopic lenses and video cameras are prohibited. Any commercial photography is prohibited. Event Staff members are authorized to evict guests violating these photography policies.

Playing Field
For the safety of our student-athletes and spectators, at no time before, during or after a game are spectators permitted to enter the playing field. Access is strictly limited to participating student-athletes, coaches, officials, event staff, and properly credentialed individuals.

Prohibited Items
Weapons and fireworks
Noisemakers (amplified megaphones, whistles, air horns, sirens)
Large flags, flagpoles and items obstructing sightlines
Live animals (except Guide and Service Dogs)
Throwing of any objects
Banners, placards and leaflets not pre-approved by York Sport and Recreation
