The York University Lions women’s cross country team finished in 10th place at the 2011 OUA Cross Country Championships presented by Suunto, while the men’s team ended up 11th at the same event in Ottawa.

PISTOR LEADS LIONS TO TOP-10 FINISH AT VIC MATTHEWS OPEN
Women’s captain Kathryn Pistor returned to form on Saturday (Oct. 15) at the New Balance Vic Matthews Open in Guelph, finishing 39th overall with a time of 19:33 and leading the York University Lions women’s cross country team to a seventh-place finish in the women’s 5k event.

The York University Lions cross country teams earned their best results of the season on Saturday (Oct. 1) at the Waterloo Open, finishing third in the women’s 4km event and fourth in the men’s 7.8km event.

The York University Lions cross country team ran hard in the 5km/10km Western International Cross Country Meet in London, Ont., on Saturday (Sept. 24). Both teams put forth a strong effort and each finished 12th.
