The York Lions are counting down the top 10 stories of the 2014-15 season! Stay tuned to yorkulions.ca over the next two weeks as we relive a tremendous year for our varsity programs. The No. 1 story will be unveiled on Friday, April 17.

Lions rookie wrestlers Alexandria Town and Ali Koca made York history at the OUA championships this season.
 
Town won the silver medal in the 51kg weight class at the OUA championships, becoming the first York female wrestler ever to win an OUA medal and qualify for the CIS championships, where she finished in fifth place. She went on to be named York's female rookie of the year.
 
Koca also had a strong competition at the OUA championships, winning the gold medal in the 120kg division to become York's first OUA champion since 1991. He earned OUA first-team all-star honours and was the recipient of the OUA and CIS community service awards, the first York male wrestler to receive those honours.
 
The Lions continue to make a mark on the OUA after joining the conference competition in 2012, and are poised to reach the team podium in the coming years with a growing program.
